The Digital Planner

Whether in physical or digital format, The Empowerment Planner is your ideal companion if you want to bring more intention and focus on achieving your personal and professional development goals.

Unlike a lot of planners existing on the market, it helps you stay focused on the essentials, without taking hours out of your daily busy schedule to maintain it, making it easier for you to stick to it.

It helps you raise your awareness of self so that you can start making more conscious choices by allowing
you to:
  • stay focused on your daily appointments and tasks,
  • be intentional every day,
  • list what you’re grateful for,
  • review daily what worked well, what was challenging, what can be improved,
  • take stock of any learning/lesson (a.k.a. “lightbulb moment”) you may have had,
  • track your daily habits (to maximise your chances of sticking to them),
  • be better connected to your body by making notes on your physical, mental and emotional health and its impact on you and your circumstances

Who this is for

This planner is for you if you:

  • are driven by a strong desire to get results (whatever this means to you) and need some sort of tool to help you stay intentional and focused,
  • like to take a little time to reflect on what works for you and what doesn’t,
  • want to know what to focus on next,
  • not only like the act of writing (rather than typing) but also know that doing so helps you get more results,
  • love technology and have therefore invested in a tablet and are using a stylus to take notes,
  • and are probably a Mac addict too (but that is not mandatory).

Requirements

  • a tablet (I use an Ipad)
  • a stylus
  • A notetaking app (I use Goodnotes)

Recommendations

  • When selecting a notetaking app, I recommend you make sure you find these functionalities:

  •

MUST HAVE:

  • a “go to page” function
  • a magnifying glass to ease the notetaking process
  • choice of multiple colours to write with
  • a rubber
  • a lasso to move things around
  • add pages

NICE TO HAVE:

  • insert objects
  • insert pictures

I have been using the Empowerment planner for 2 months now & it’s made a huge difference to my focus on my steps towards my vision, as well as my efficiency & productivity, which are especially challenged in these times with lockdown & homeschooling. I use the digital version which I find very easy to navigate, capture key thoughts in handwriting with my stylus pen, as well as copy & paste notes from one day to another. All while feeling very virtuous for being paper-free! I was a notebook addict previously, so I have been pleasantly surprised by how similar it is to capture my thoughts in writing with pen & paper.
I particularly like the daily review of what went well, what is challenging, do differently & ideas, which keep me improving step by step how I work. The weekly review wraps up all these key thoughts together & gets me planning in detail for the week ahead so I know what I need to do next in the pockets of time that I have. Highly recommend the empowerment planner in the digital version for any busy professionals & entrepreneurs, who are time challenged and are committed to turning their vision into
